Cotton Hill
Cotton Hill thumbnail
Cotton Hill This is a band that truly gets better with each album. Superb inspired technical death metal with some excellent guest features. Favorite track: Souvenir of Skin.
Arrogant Bastard
Arrogant Bastard thumbnail
Arrogant Bastard You ever wanna throw a brick through a window or punch a wall so hard it busts out the otherside? Save yourself the misdemeanor and/or broken hand, get Ikigai instead. This is excellently cohesive tech death, with wild guitar flourishes and bass so pummeling I would be apprehensive bringing this near Yellowstone Favorite track: The Wrath.
Ronnie Lacey
Ronnie Lacey thumbnail
Ronnie Lacey So bloody good. My 4 year old son is always telling me to turn it up in the car. Favorite track: The Wrath.
gravychris

gravychris It’s that Tony Simone touch that pushes what was once a pretty good band into AWESOME territory. Interesting, tight composition that doesn’t turn into a riff salad, sick guest features, good lyrics (a rarity)...I can’t ask for more. Favorite track: The Wrath.
Milo Bloom
Milo Bloom thumbnail
Milo Bloom This is a very good and cohesive album. The songs are tight and well-composed, the mix is great, and the the lyrics are sharp and interesting. Favorite track: Grief Eater, Tear Drinker.

The sun was stolen from me Time had no place Words stuck at the foot of my door Lost in the woods when I close my eyes Trees standing tall, thin The gentle breeze that crosses my face As the sparkle falls to the ground I found solace amongst those trees I was not alone, words flew by my ears The echoes of many Echoes of many who are free There is a feeling inside scraping and tearing Ripping in through my side Setting ablaze to my own frame Not concerned with feeling pain There is a feeling inside It’s burning, it’s tearing I’ve done everything to hide The sun was stolen from me Time had no place, Words stuck at the foot of my door Lost in the woods when I close my eyes Trees standing tall, thin I’ve left a trail, leading to me I know it’s nothing you want to see

Frozen with fear The ground starts to shake Standing so nervous How long does this take? Walking for hours Leaves cracking from the weight above Regret is sinking in fires at night Hands tight on the blade Remember this version Won’t come back the same Walking for hours Leaves cracking from the weight above Regret is sinking in Bones are trembling with every step Eyes closing, unsure if they will open again Any sense of pity must be cast aside Force the last breath from their body Fear must not reside Pain, something to hide Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Thrust towards the abdomen of this man Seeing so many with fear on their face Unsure if home will be gazed upon again Overwhelming light that bled into our eyes Stitching back the memories Rain bringing out the fragrance of the earth Frozen with fear The ground starts to shake Standing so nervous How long does this take? Walking for hours Leaves cracking from the weight above Regret is sinking in A decorative display of flesh Viciously stabbing his chest It's not for honor; Their lives will mean something through my blade I won’t stop twisting until I see the light fade from their eyes. The red on the ground... is it the sun? Could the blood on my hands be washed from my tears? No. So I rub the guilt into my own eyes. Torn of his flesh, he begs again. Seething between my fingers No mercy. Only skin. They bow down in a grace so betraying of their own will to live. A funeral march led by the apathy of man Oblivion, I will bring you with me. Only if you promise not to take me with you

A life of fear A life of trepidation A home now scorched beyond all recognition Displaced, disgraced a mother clings to her child what once was clean and pure has now been turned to bile Only asking for a simple change From the so called apex species Smoke covers the air. Black. Flames erupt below. Ash. The remains of our kin rain down In the end, the earth will prevail Laughing through the last dying man's wails Ecosystems shattered They too, soon will suffer Condemned to a future that is bleak Will they discover what has truly mattered Forsaken, they know what they must seek A life of fear A life of trepidation A home now scorched beyond all recognition Displaced, disgraced a mother clings to her child what once was clean and pure has now been turned to bile Gaia bleeds As they bend the earth to their will We all bleed As they bend the earth to their will

The Wrath 05:31
Distraught, deadly and uncomfortable Drowning in the masses. An internal fight that causes doubts to what I really am Eyes wandering down to my feet in absolute repugnance Entering rooms with constant discomfort It’s infinite Truth cannot be spoken for reality To bring upon the wrath of our society’s pleas To submit to their will, and lie to myself Subjected to this torture from everyone else. It feels like a battle that I cannot win Imagining the steel as it pierces my skin Listening in on conversations from an empty room Hearing all the ones you love spreading lies as “truth” Methods of electrocution to create a normal you Truth cannot be spoken for reality To bring upon the wrath of our society’s pleas To submit to their will, and lie to myself Subjected to this torture from everyone else. Is this me? Yes me Not you Not you Truth cannot be spoken for reality To bring upon the wrath of our society’s pleas To submit to their will, and lie to myself Subjected to this torture from everyone else.

If I Do Die 04:42
Constantly crashing The air smells like plastic Lost in the mattress I promise to crack this. The craving gets sweeter I start to get weaker. Flames burn from below As time starts to show Unsure of my fate Does a casket await? Or a box in the cold With my thoughts all alone There’s a rush I can not describe There no qualms if I do die I find comfort in the sprint towards the last slumber. Comfort in pain Destroying Bodily functions Hunger is gone So is my taste Clawing my face I’m starting to trace Needing assistance expelling my waste. The craving gets sweeter As I start to get weaker. Flames burn from below As time begins to show There’s a rush I can not describe There no qualms if I do die This is a cry for help I need someone else Someone to carry me home Someone to carry me home Just one more chance.

A mother wails in pain as the child is born 18 years or more, time to settle the score Each time she dilates, A growing list she creates. Dig away at layers covering my fragile heart Start at my feet and scrape up to my shins Leaving the residual to barely scar As the years went by you became a ghost Disappointing, disappearing when I needed you the most “Now, it begins. Fresh skin to maim When I’m finished with you, you will not be the same. Please, cry harder It makes me stronger Knowing the power I’ll hold over you You’re not to question You’re to nod yes Don’t worry honey, I am trying my best Slowly you will learn I’m not concerned I am control” Dig away at layers covering my fragile heart Start at my feet and scrape up to my shins Leaving residual to barely scar As the years went by you became a ghost Disappointing, disappearing when I needed you the most Painted. In your disguise Perfection Caressing my eyes. “Now that I have you, right where I want you Spirit’s now broken Mental exhaustion The seventh of the second The day that you wrote this I need you alone, It’s time to come home. “

As ice cracks on the ground beneath I hear nature around me weep We’ve cut into her fragile womb With every step, With every step, they break. Unplanned warfare, A Fight so unfair, So self aware No need to share. Needlessly ripping roots from soil Tossing life in and let it boil This mother sobs, This mother sobs into cold hands Unplanned warfare, A Fight so unfair, So self aware No need to share. Destruction caused from ignorance Death comes from indifference They’re-crushing, they’re ruthless. Untold numbers of deceased by hands of primitive beings. Asphyxiate, disintegrate, Helplessly watching her opus mangled

Woke up from this endless nightmare To find lacerations side by side This repetitious feeling will take a life Two decades have past How long will this last? Shattered glass across the floor For only seven years, A lifetime this seems to last Frozen, surrounded by blood soaked glass The sun does not shine in this horrid place Trembling with tears, All smiles are erased. Stigma runs ramped, First laughter, then crying, This tiny blue cylinder will numb all five of your senses Soon to be distraught and co-dependent. Only given 15 minutes to speak to the ones outside the walls Three cycles of the sun and moon have past Finally feeling the touch of grass Two decades have past How long will this last? Is it, all inside? Woke up from this endless nightmare This endless nightmare My mind is not my own Inside I am not alone Inside I am not alone Hidden, from the world. A secret, locked away. Eternal torture, unseen by all. Imbalanced by nature, To no fault of my own. The sun on the horizon Is a battle I’ve won. Staring at the blood soaked walls Is it all inside? Staring at the blood soaked walls

It preys upon your empathy your will to take take on the suffering of others as they bleed take on the the struggle of those brought to their knees There's no warning It's consuming me The agony devours Taken its toll on it The soul is torn away with ease Beyond reason, we choose to shoulder the burden The shadow creeps in and tightens up it's grip Time slows to reveal that we no longer have capacities to feel Invisible enemy It’s stalking...a host Starts with one and it spreads from there. Slicing within and start to tear. It preys upon your empathy your will to take take on the suffering of others as they bleed take on the the struggle of those brought to their knees There's no warning It's consuming me The agony devoured Taken It all turns out the same Alone Beyond reason, we choose to shoulder the burden The shadow creeps in and tightens up it's grip Time slows to reveal that we no longer have capacities to feel Helplessly drowning, Secluded, self inflicted pain resides This feast won’t stop Lost all control And suddenly the power, changes what I'll be and can't control Beyond reason, we choose to shoulder the burden The shadow creeps in and tightens up it's grip Collecting the sorrows, Longing for the taste You’ve lost all control [Control] The little we know It terrifies us Rescind the dreaming of our losses They've only begun

Gyokusai 05:05
I have found my reason for being, but it's too late. The thunder of my heart beats Urgently caressing my arm A disgusting stench that stuck As Lightning laced the sky Terror spreads through my bones A Symphony of souls Tasting the rot, that fills the air Lips stained with blood, hands filled with hair No Solace in the knowledge I have gathered. The handle points towards my flesh Finally finding what I’ve been seeking, eternal rest Every soldier slaughtered Was a man, a father Look towards the sun Symphony Symphony of souls I see the sun, one last time I finally have the words The Trees are gone I am no longer lost I have found my reason for being, but it's too late. I have found my reason for being, but it's too late.
